Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. Her most well-known role was Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. She has also appeared as Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student as a child in Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio in the United States, where she nurtured her interest in the theatre. Theatre studies took place through Northwestern University. A semester was completed in the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career working in the Chicago area theatres for a couple of years. After that, she switched to TV and film. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big character in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued appearing in films and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. She was then selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood that was shot in the mid 2000's. Skyler was her role as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Sully was the Deadwood film and a few other films were also starring her. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. in 2022 Gunn also played in a 4-part audio-play show named "Numbered days". The love story between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the story of Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and its eventual demise arguably similar to the arc that was Walter White's last years of life.
